Saturday, Feb 26, 2011 Medal Presentation A flower ceremony followed each event but organizers saved the awarding of all medals until a formal ceremony on Saturday evening. Directly after the banquet, everybody was directed to "the tent" a warm and pleasant area under a semi-permanent tent attached to one of the buildings in the Interlaken complex. Two long tables were lined with hundreds of red-ribboned medals. David McCahill led the ceremonies as a dozen or more SWSA officials lined up behind the tables (below). Each class would receive its medals from a different club representative. This was a National Championship event so medals were awarded down to tenth place. The lineups were large and the space a bit crowded, making photography a challenge. Here are the medalists for the two Thursday events. Again, we won't even try to name all the athletes in the photos.
